Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) is waiting for confirmation on his next return date, and his next opponent.

Khan's last bout took place in May, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Chris Algieri. The British boxer was sitting back while trying to pursue a September fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. He was ultimately passed over in favor of Andre Berto.

At the moment, Khan's team is negotiating for a potential bout with eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao for the first quarter of 2016.

Khan is not even thinking about a potential fight with domestic rival Kell Brook (35-0, 24KOs), who holds the IBF welterweight title.

He feels Brook is fighting overmatched opponents who have little to no shot at winning. Khan is not impressed with Brook's next opponent, Diego Chaves, who gave tough fights to Keith Thurman, Tim Bradley and Brandon Rios.

"My body's taken all the wear and tear where I'm fighting the best fighters in the world and he's not even fighting half of them," said Khan to BBC Sport.

"I want him to prove himself so it's a big fight, we go into the ring 50-50 and it's a massive fight not only for Great Britain but around the world."

During the last few months, Khan has been spending more time in the Middle East for various events and media obligations. He still hopes to bring a major fight to the region.

"The Middle East has never had a big, big fight," he said. "They've had a few decent names but no one in their prime, putting on a world title fight, so I think it's going to happen soon."
