REDWOOD CITY, California – All fighters made weight at the weigh-in for Westside Promotions' upcoming event, set to take place Saturday night at the Fox Theatre.

In the main event, regional titleholder Petr Khamukov weighed in at the contracted 160 pounds, marking his second consecutive fight at middleweight. His opponent, Esau Herrera de la Cruz, came in slightly under at 159.2 pounds.

Khamukov (12-0, 5 KOs), a 2016 Russian Olympian who trains in Los Angeles, has expressed a preference for fighting at junior middleweight but values staying active over fighting in the junior middleweight division exclusively. Khamukov, 30, last fought as he was tested by veteran Vaughn Alexander.

Meanwhile, Herrera de la Cruz (21-16-1, 8 KOs) is expected to provide valuable experience for Khamukov, who has only 56 professional rounds. Herrera de la Cruz, 39, has 38 fights and 232 rounds under his belt.

The co-feature will highlight a welterweight bout with rising prospect Jacob Macalolooy (7-0, 4 KOs), who weighed in at 147 pounds. Macalolooy trains under Basheer Abdullah, a former four-time Olympic coach. His opponent, Xavier Madrid (5-3, 2 KOs), weighed in at 146 pounds and is known for his upset victory over Aaron Aponte last June. This fight is expected to be the toughest test of Macalolooy’s career.
