Khalil Coe: record, next fight and profile →
"Two Kings" Jaron Ennis and Jesse Rodriguez avoided being dethroned by the scales on Friday, and so Saturday's show at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia in separate title fights will go on.
The Philadelphia card co-headlined by Jarron “Boots” Ennis and Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez will also feature Raymond Ford, Khalil Coe and Ernesto Mercado. The Saturday, November 9, bill at the Wells Fargo Center will see Ford return for the first time since Nick Ball relieved him of his WBA featherweight title in Saudi Arabia in June and the Camden fighter meets Orlando Gonzalez.
Skye Nicolson won all 10 rounds on all three scorecards, frequently frustrating the one-dimensional Dyana Vargas to defend her women's featherweight title Saturday in Philadelphia.
Ennis came in at 146.4 pounds and Avanesyan was 147 pounds, with both fighters looking forward to a great night tomorrow at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The 27-year-old Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs), from Philadelphia, is returning to the ring for the first time in a year since earning a 10th-round stoppage victory over Roiman Villa last July and is expected to light up his hometown against Avanesyan (30-4-1, 18 KOs).

Khalil Coe’s knockout of a previously unbeaten power puncher has helped convince Coe that he is more than ready to fight a legitimate light heavyweight contender next.
Khalil Coe knocked out a supposed puncher in less than four minutes of action Saturday in Las Vegas. The talented light heavyweight prospect dropped Gerardo Osuna three times in the second round and beat the previously unbeaten Mexican by technical knockout on the Conor Benn-Peter Dobson undercard at The Cosmopolitan of
Khalil Coe will face a hard-punching opponent Saturday who owns a 20-0 record, including 18 knockouts, as part of the Conor Benn-Peter Dobson undercard.
Peter Dobson didn’t say anything to Conor Benn after they made weight Friday afternoon in Las Vegas. After talking trash throughout the buildup toward their junior middleweight match, Dobson simply stared into Benn’s eyes as they faced off for the final time before their fight Saturday. Benn didn’t say anything, either, as he too looked with disdain at his upcoming opponent.
