Me acuerdo que este bato se cortaba el pelo en donde mismo que yo aquí en Hermosillo, es chilo el wey. Me gusta su estilo como boxeador también, tengo grandes expectativas de el.

Thats the plan to keep Valdez active. And it was fights like his last one is where he will learn. He's a young prospect and we are not going to rush him. He has a lot of talent. Skilled, fan friendly style, and smart. But there are areas he needs to improve. And he will over time. He works very hard. But as a manager. I look at this time period in his career as a learning curve. I don't mind him making mistakes at this point as long as he's learning and improving. Although we are not rushing him. But there will be times in 2015 where we will test him. He's excited and very motivated. But taking it one fight at a time....Then take off his training wheels and put him in with an equal prospect like they have done hundreds of times on ShoBox instead of gravy train setups against TBA's or hapless, helpless opponents tagged with the same "always tough", "upset-minded", "always comes to fight", and other bullsht superlatives to cover up an obvious setup.

He can get a bit sloppy but where better to improve than fighting top 10 guys? I don't think he's going to learn much more fighting at this level (which isn't bad considering the number of fights he's had), because he knows eventually his power is going to get them. Admittedly I'm speaking from.a fan perspective so don't mind so much if he takes an L. B Arum might care though lol, though he has the stye, the nationality and time on his side so he can afford to take an L and still be popular imo. Yeah we saw how fighting "bum" after "bum" turned out for Russell Jr. I guess finding a middle ground would be ideal to the way he was handled and being thrown directly into the fire like Lomachenko. The kid has serious boxing talent and I like the way his career has progressed this far. How do you think he fares against Russell Jr. at this point?

Likewise, love watching this kid fight. I don't know if he's ready though, he could use a few more fights against these type of opponents to gain more maturity.
