Kevin Lerena vs. Firat Arslan Finalized For February 8, Germany

It´s official: IBO cruiserweight king Kevin Lerena (24-1) defends the title on February 8 in Goeppingen (Germany) against 48-year old veteran and fomer WBA champ Firat Arslan (47-8-3) with EC Boxing promoting.

as previosuly reported, former EBU welterweight champ Kerman Lejarraga returns to the ring on November 30 in Barcelona on a Gallego Prada promotion against an opponent to be announced. Lejarraga suffered back to back losses against David Avanesyan earlier this year and blamed it on problems with making weight.

In the chief support Alejandro Moya (12-0) and Ruben Rodriguez (8-4-19 clash for the vacant Spanish super welterweight title.

The Salo Knockout Night on November 30 in Salo (Finland) will now also feature a fight for national title at cruiser between Samuli Karkkainen (10-0) and Jarkko Ojapalo (6-0). Super lightweight and local man Jarkko Putkonen (16-62) tops the bill against an opponent to be announced.

IBF female super middleweight champ Elin Cederroos (6-0) takes on Kenyan veteran Florence Muthoni on November 22 in Sedavi (Spain) in a non-title fight. Cederroos won the title in March with an upset win over Femke Hermans in Belgium.

This is not a bad fight at all. Arslan has mixed it with the best and his still showing he has fight in him. He drew with a fighter who tyson fury boxed. Lerena is on the way up so…

"World title"? Please. Lerena is a solid up and coming contender, Arslan is still a dangerous veteran. Decent experience gaining fight for Lerena, nothing more.

"cruiserweight king" ??? This reads like a press release rather than journalism.

All due respect to Arslan - but spare us this IBO bs. Not even close to a world title. A look at boxrec for IBO beltholders exposes the fraud

Damn 48 years old? What are they recruiting fighters from senior living centers now? This dude could get seriously hurt, I can't believe they even sanctioned this. Hopkins was a way better fighter than this guy and look what happened…
