NEW YORK – Danny Garcia shared the ring with Keith Thurman the last time Thurman fought. When Thurman finally fights again Saturday night, Garcia will sit about 3,000 miles away, analyzing Thurman’s return from FOX’s studio in Los Angeles. Garcia will be joined by retired lightweight champion Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini for FOX’s pre-fight and post-fight coverage of the tripleheader featuring Thurman and Josesito Lopez at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
As a boxer who has been underestimated and overlooked his entire career, Josesito Lopez knows better than to expect anything less than Keith Thurman’s A-game this weekend. The veteran contender from California is a heavy underdog to unseat Thurman, who returns to the ring after having spent the past 22 months on the injured list.
