At the Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, Nevada, former champion Julio Diaz (37-6, 26 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Herman Ngoudjo (18-3, 10 KOs). The scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 99-91. Diaz landed better combinations, got off first and outhustled Ngoudjo during exchanges.

Dominic Salcido (18-2, 9 KOs) pulled off the upset to take away the unbeaten record of Guillermo Sanchez (11-1, 5 KOs) with an eight round decision in a junior lightweight bout. The scores were 77-75, 78-74 and 77-75. Sanchez could have won but he spent more time clowning around and showboating instead of fighting.

In tonight's opening bout to Diaz -Ngoudjo, Julio Luna (4-1-1) and Freddie Cisneros (1-2-2) foiught to a technical draw. Cisneros suffered a nasty gash due to an accidental headbutt in the beginning of the third round. Referee Tony Weeks had the ringside doctor check the cut with 50 seconds left in the third round and the cut was deemed too severe for the fight to continue. Since three rounds weren't completed in the scheduled four round fight it was ruled a no contest. 

In a lightweight bout Arman Sargsyan (14-0) of Glendale, CA won a unanimous  decision over Leo Martinez (15-13). Scores were 80-71 and 79-72 twice. Sargsyan  started out landing his jab and power shots in a dominating opening round. The second round was closer but still another Sargsyan round. Sargsyan kept up with his crisp left jab throughout the third and fourth rounds and showed a willingness to trade punches. Sargsyan finally dropped his opponent with a right cross in the sixth round but Martinez was able to finish the round. Martinez fought hard and did what he was brought in to do which is give the undefeated prospect rounds and stay in front of him.

In another prospect versus journeyman battle, Ravshan Hudasynazarov (12-0) kept his record perfect by scoring a tko over Gerardo Prieto (6-9) in their welterweight fight. Hudasynazarov was the more active fighter throwing almost all power shots.  He caught his over matched opponent with a one two combination at the 2:20 minute mark of the second round. Referee Tony Weeks had no choice but to stop the bout as Prieto was disoriented and couldn't regain his footing.
