Former four division world champion Juan Manuel "Dinamita" Marquez said on Tuesday that he's interested in doing two more fights, tentatively in May and September, and then he definitely wants to say goodbye to the ring.

Marquez, 42-years-old, has been out of the ring since winning a twelve round unanimous decision over former WBO junior welterweight champion Mike Alvarado at the Forum in Los Angeles. Since then Marquez has been dealing with a knee injury and rehabilitation to properly recover.

Marquez would still like to have his return in Mexico, possibly at Azteca Stadium or the Mexico City Arena.

"That's what I'd like [to do]. Let's see how things go. I want to fight in Mexico, maybe at Azteca Stadium or in the Mexico City Arena, but we have to see how things will go - but for now that's what I want," Marquez told ESPN Deportes.

"The knee is doing well. I think that in the coming days there might by some important news. That is my wish, to do two more fights. Let's see if the body responds and gives me what I need. I do not want to rush anything, but that is the idea that I have in mind to say goodbye to boxing after 30 years of being an amateur and a professional boxer."

Marquez said that one of his interests is also to fight for the welterweight world championship.

The welterweight champions at the moment include IBF champion Kell Brook, WBA champion Keith Thurman and WBC champion Danny Garcia. The WBO belt will be up for grabs in a bout between Sadam Ali and Jessie Vargas.
