Jose Pedraza: record, next fight and profile →
Former world champion Jose “Sniper” Pedraza is already back in the swing of things. The boxer from Cidreño will take the stage on May 9 when he faces former US Olympian Javier "El Intocable" Molina as the co-featured attraction to the card that will have WBO, WBC junior welterweight world champion José Ramírez defending the belt against Viktor "The Iceman" Postol.
It took a little longer than expected, but WBC/WBO super lightweight world champion Jose Ramirez, the pride of California’s Central Valley, is set to return. Ramirez will defend his titles against mandatory challenger and former world champion Viktor “The Iceman” Postol Saturday, May 9 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, a short drive from Ramirez’s hometown of Avenal. Ramirez and Postol were set to fight Feb. 1 in China, but the bout was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
When Gervonta Davis demolished Jose Pedraza in January 2017, that technical-knockout victory clearly was the most significant win of his career. Nearly three years later, Davis hasn’t fought an opponent as good or as accomplished as Pedraza. That’ll change Saturday night, according to Davis, when he squares off against Yuriorkis Gamboa for a vacant version of the WBA lightweight title in Atlanta.
Current Junior Featherweight Champion Emanuel ‘El Vaquero’ Navarrete was recognized by the World Boxing Organization (WBO) today, during the 22nd Annual WBO Golf Tournament at ‘El Legado Golf Club’ in Guayama. This edition of the annual golf competition serves as preamble to the Thirty-Second Annual WBO Convention, which will be held in the city of Tokyo, Japan, from December 2 until Thursday, December 5, 2019.
Former two division world champion José “Sniper” Pedraza will remain in the junior welterweight division. The veteran will continue to campaign at 140 pounds after suffering a decision loss in his division debut last month in Las Vegas, at the hands of Mexican boxer José "Chon" Zepeda.
The defeat that Jose 'Sniper' Pedraza suffered on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena, against José 'Chon' Zepeda, has left him as the crossroads of his career. It was Pedraza's 140-pound debut. The Puero Rican boxer had previously captured world titles at super featherweight and lightweight.

LAS VEGAS – Jose Pedraza is the only boxer that has faced Vasiliy Lomachenko and Gervonta Davis. Pedraza, who’ll fight Jose Zepeda on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, thus has a unique perspective on who would win the long-discussed bout between them if it ever happens.
