Junior bantamweight Jordan Roach of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, may be 21 years old, but he’s already earned a nickname that reflects his cool composure in the ring: ‘The Iceman.’

Jordan Roach had said he was “excited to start dropping people” – and that’s what he got to do on Friday night in front of a hometown crowd in Washington, D.C., when he stopped Luis Domingo Hernandez Cambero.

Making his pro debut Friday at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., Jordan Roach outclassed veteran Luis Domingo Hernandez Cambero to earn a shutout unanimous decision.

Jordan Roach will turn professional on the undercard of a main event featuring his older brother, junior lightweight titleholder Lamont Roach Jr., in a fight promoted by their father and trainer, Lamont Roach Sr., as he looks to continue the family fighting tradition.

Lamont Roach Sr., traditionally known as an unassuming figure around boxing, has stepped into the spotlight as a promoter for regional fighters and others from his Washington, D.C.-based NoXcuse Boxing Club.

With the recent disappointment of missing out on qualifying for the 2024 U.S. Olympic team, flyweight Jordan Roach is ready to show his class in his professional debut Friday in Washington, D.C., on ProBox TV.
