After intense negotiations, promoter Reginaldo Kuchle of Village Promotions has announced that Chihuahua's Miguel "Mickey" Roman, ranked ninth, will fight for the "regular" featherweight title of World Boxing Association (WBA), which is held by Argentine champion Jonathan Barros. The fight happens on the 12th of March at a location to be defined. The fight could happen in Argentina, Mexico, Panama, or even the United States.  Barros has a record of 31-1-1, 18 knockouts, and the Mexican challenger has piled up a record of 33-7 with 25 knockouts.
