For the most part, Richardson Hitchins has bit his tongue. After an impressive amateur career that was highlighted by his selection to the 2016 Olympics, Hitchins (15-0, 7 KOs) wholeheartedly believed that his time as a pro fighter would be littered with world titles, wads of cash, and long lines of adoring fans.
Amanda Serrano has won world titles in seven divisions on her way to becoming one of the biggest stars in women’s boxing. She is expected to fight undisputed champion Katie Taylor at the lightweight limit of 135 pounds for the second time May 20 in Dublin, but Serrano admits that she is most comfortable boxing as a featherweight. The 34-year-old Serrano showed yet again Friday that she can continue to make the 126-pound maximum for her division.
Richardson Hitchins has thanked promoter Eddie Hearn for bringing him back to New York as he prepares to defend his IBF North American Super-Lightweight title against John Bauza at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday night, live worldwide on DAZN.
As previously reported by BoxingScene.com, Amanda Serrano will face Erika Cruz in a Puerto Rico vs. Mexican battle for the Undisputed World Featherweight championship and Alycia Baumgardner takes on Elhem Mekhaled for the Undisputed World Super-Featherweight championship at Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday February 4, exclusively live worldwide on DAZN.
NEW YORK – John Bauza remained undefeated Saturday night, but he didn’t necessarily legitimize himself as a 140-pound contender. Steve Rolls can still make middleweight if necessary. The 5-foot-10 Canadian contender couldn’t pass up the opportunity that’ll await him Saturday night, though. Toronto’s Rolls is considered a big underdog against Edgar Berlanga, but he believes he is equipped and experienced enough to pull off an upset in a 10-round main event ESPN will broadcast from Madison Square Garden’s Hulu Theater in New York.

Vasiliy Lomachenko and Richard Commey couldn’t contain their smiles for long Friday afternoon once they made weight. The former lightweight champions clearly respect one another, thus they simply laughed and shook hands, instead of displaying any animosity toward one another the day before their 12-round main event at Madison Square Garden in New York. Moments earlier, Ukraine’s Lomachenko and Ghana’s Commey came in below the lightweight limit of 135 pounds.
