With word spreading fast that Commonwealth and Olympic medallist Joe Joyce's heavyweight pro debut will be against Ian Lewison, more news has come into Boxing Scene regarding the show.

The tough matchmaking presented to Joyce by promoters Hayemaker Ringstar will take place on October 20 at the O2 Indigo in London.

Boxing Scene has also been informed that on the undercard will be a bout featuring John O'Donnell (32-2, 11 KOs) against Tamuka Mucha (16-1, 4 KOs).

The O2 Indigo, a venue set up for around just under 3,000 people is associated more with comedy and music than it is boxing, but it's no stranger to hosting combat sports and will stage the MMA event Cage Warriors 86 on September 16.

O'Donnell v Mucha will likely be for the former's English Welterweight title which he won via split decision against Erick Ochieng over 10 rounds in March. And last month the British Boxing Board of Control, in their monthly circular, said: "Following injury to O'Donnell, a new date and venue is awaited from promoter Joshua Goodwin for the contest."

Josh's father and promoter Steve Goodwin provided some of the undercard fighters for David Haye's heavyweight comeback in 2016.

Joyce v Lewison will be broadcast on the free-to-air UK channel Dave.
