Joe Ham: record, next fight and profile →
Joe Ham (14-1, 5 KOs) spends some of his time doing maintenance work at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena due to his day job as a joiner and in a case of art imitating working life he will step into the venue’s boxing ring on a Lee Eaton-promoted show on November 30.
Josh Wale has had his next fight confirmed. The Barnsley bantamweight, who was most recently in action earlier this month, will defend his British crown against the mandatory challenger Ukashir Farooq. Stefy Bull, Wale’s promoter, will stage the fight –– the third defence for Wale, who will get the belt for keeps with a win –– on April 13 at Doncaster Dome.
Joe Ham will fight for his first professional title when he returns to the ring. The undefeated Glaswegian, 25, is currently 10-0 with five early endings but will be looking to advance his flawless ledger, live on Sky Sports. Ham is scheduled for action at the SSE Hydro Arena in his home city on April 15, as part of the supporting cast to Ricky Burns’ WBA super-lightweight title defence against IBF and IBO champion Julius Indongo.
