At the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi, undefeated middleweight prospect J’Leon Love scored a 3rd round knockout over South Florida’s Ibahiem King to improve his record to 11-0 with 7 knockouts.

Love admits that King came to fight but didn’t seem too have too much trouble.

“The guy was tough. He was a tough customer,” Love would state after his victory. “He wasn’t just a walkover or anything like that. He came to fight but I just took control with my jab, body shots. I was much faster than him. He kept coming and when he least expected it, off the jab we caught him with a short right hand down the middle and that’s what ended the fight.”

Love is next scheduled to see action on the June 23rd undercard of the Victor Ortiz-Andre Berto rematch at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Love gained some buzz for his career recently as he has been serving as a chief sparring for Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas ahead of his May 5th bout with Miguel Cotto and the Detroit native confirmed that he will immediately be going back to camp to help Floyd put the finishing touches on his preparation.
