The World Boxing Association's “KO Drugs” festival will return this week in Panama City with former world champions Anselmo Moreno and Jezreel Corrales as the main protagonists of the event.

As part of the festival, there will be female world title fight on Friday, March 11 at the Majestic Casino and on Saturday, March 12, there will be the second night of action, in which both Panamanians will be showcased in the two main fights being held at the Roberto Durán Arena.

Moreno will face Mexican contender Gustavo Pina in defense of his WBA Fedelatin featherweight crown. The veteran local fighter has won four fights in a row and now wants to extend his streak in the main event.

Corrales, on the other hand, will have a challenge against the young and undefeated Mexican fighter Miguel Madueno. The showdown will take place in the lightweight division and local observers are expecting a test for both fighters.

In the women’s event, it has already been confirmed that Argentine Yésica Bopp will defend her WBA light flyweight crown against Jessica Nery Plata, a fight between experienced boxers that will highlight the card.

The WBA's 'KO Drugs' festival is an event that uses boxing as a means to keep young people away from the wrong path and gives them the sport of boxing as a tool to help them become better people.
