I guess never say never. It was 16-years since their last meeting, but moments ago Jeff Fenech (29-3, 21KOs) returned after a twelve-year retirement to win a majority-decision over rival Azumah Nelson (39-6, 28KOs) at the Vodafone Arena in Melbourne Australia. Nelson had been retired for ten-years.

They first met in 1991, with the fight being scored a controversial draw. Many felt Fenech should have won the fight. The rematch, in 1992, saw Nelson end the debate by knocking Fenech out within eight-rounds.

The third meeting between Fenech, 44, and Nelson, 49, was ridiculed by ringside observers as the fighters put on a lackluster performance and gave the appearance of two old men trying to last the full ten-rounds. The action promised was non-existant.
