Jazza Dickens: record, next fight and profile →
Jazza Dickens will face a familiar foe in his next fight – but will still fight for the British title. The former champion, who began his campaign this calendar year with a stoppage in Manchester back in March, was due to face the champion Tommy Ward in his backyard.
JAZZA DICKENS has been given a date for his next fight. The former British super-bantamweight title holder will get the opportunity to win his old belt back in a couple of months' time. Dickens, who began his campaign this calendar year with a stoppage in Manchester back in March, will face the current champion Tommy Ward in his backyard. Ward took the belt from Jazza via a technical decision last May in Leeds after the fight was halted following a clash of heads.
Dale Coyne moved to 13-0 with a third-round stoppage over late replacement Julio Cesar at Bowlers Exibition Centre. The win however was not the only thing Coyne wanted from the night, a scheduled bout with Matty Ryan for the central area title falling through, leaving ‘Canelo’ fighting without a title on the line in Manchester on Friday.
Josh Wale has had his next fight confirmed. The Barnsley bantamweight, who was most recently in action earlier this month, will defend his British crown against the mandatory challenger Ukashir Farooq. Stefy Bull, Wale’s promoter, will stage the fight –– the third defence for Wale, who will get the belt for keeps with a win –– on April 13 at Doncaster Dome.
John O’Donnell vs. Tamuka Muchapondwa will happen on February 16 at the Indigo at the O2. The fight has been mooted for several months and is finally set to happen, with the Board warning that final eliminator status for the British welterweight title will be withdrawn if it happens any later than the given date.
JAZZA DICKENS has confirmed the next move in his career after being out of the ring since May. The former British super-bantamweight champion lost his crown via a technical decision against Tommy Ward at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Dickens, 26, has a ledger of 22-3 with seven early and will look to return in 2018 after an up-and-down few months.

The gifted Scouse southpaw endured a double dislocation after swallowing a savage left cross in the early stages of his initial tilt at global glory against leading P4P contender and current WBA Super-Bantamweight boss Guillermo Rigondeaux in Cardiff last July, prompting handlers Paul and Mick Stevenson to retire him on his stool after just two sessions.
Jazza Dickens has returned to sparring after suffering a broken jaw at the hands of Guillermo Rigondeaux back in July.
Our sojourn over the Severn Bridge on Saturday night proved a successful one and also demonstrated clearly the hearty appetite for big time boxing in South Wales.
