Super featherweight prospect Javier "Abejon" Fortuna is ready to take the next step on the May 30th card in St. Thomas USVI, also called "Boxing in Paradise III." Fortuna is a hot amateur boxer from the Dominican Republic, sporting an amateur boxing record of 98 wins and 16 losses. He was a member of the Dominican national amateur team andparticipated in the Kings Cup in Morocco 2006.

He was also the Gold Medalist of the Americas Youth Tournament in Mexico 2003. Fortuna made his pro debut on March 30th, knocking out Ricardo Johnson in the first round. He went on to sign an exclusive promotional contract with Sampson Boxing LLC.

The May 30th card is being put together by 340 Promotions and Seminole Warriors Boxing, with the main event featuring Victor 'Mermelada' Cayo defending his WBA FEDECARIBE CHAMPIONSHIP against Arturo Morua of Mexico.
