Super middleweight contender Jason Quigley is a tremendous underdog in his upcoming fight against dangerous power puncher Edgar Berlanga.

Their contest takes place on Saturday, June 24th, at The Theater in New York's Match Square Garden.

Quigley has been training for the fight in Dublin.

"[Training camp has] really has gone very well. You know running in straight of my last training camp for 12 weeks, then a good ten-round fight, a week or two off, got married, straight back to the gym and I just kept building on what we had done already. Camp has gone fantastic and I’m excited now to go put on a show over in New York," Quigley explained to Balls.ie.

Quigley is aware that he's being viewed as a lamb being sent to the slaughter against Berlanga.

Back in November of 2021, Quigley was demolished in two rounds by then middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade.

He was able to bounce back in April, with a decision win over Gabor Gorbics at the National Stadium in Dublin.

Berlanga knocked out his first sixteen opponents in the first round, but his last four bouts have gone the full distance.

"I’ve never went into a fight not confident. I would never take a fight if I didn’t think I could win," Quigley said.

"I have great belief in myself, my team and vice versa. I have a real elite team around me, going into this fight, we’re really focused, really driven, we put in a sensational camp, a sensational year so far and even the years before that so we’re very confident going into this fight. I’m excited and looking forward to it."
