So what's next for heavyweight contender, Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller (21-0-1, 18 KOs), who is ranked in the top five by the WBA, IBF and WBO?
His co-promoter, Greg Cohen, said to BoxingScene.com - "Dmitry Salita and I talk every day and right now we're kind of in a holding pattern. Who knows what it's going to be with (Deontay) Wilder and (Anthony) Joshua? That's what the whole boxing world is waiting to see and then obviously ( Alexander) Povetkin is Joshua's mandatory (for the WBA).
"So although Jarrell's name has been bandied about by Eddie (Hearn) for a long time and we would love to fight Joshua, nobody knows exactly what's going on. Jarrell wants to fight between now and call it the end of September and we will deliver something for him."
The key says Cohen is to get him a fight that has some impact.
"Which is hard, there's just not that many guys out there that when you're in the position Jarrell is in," stated Cohen.
"Jarrell will be the mandatory for the winner of (Fres) Oquendo and (Manuel) Charr (for the WBA 'regular' title) if that fight finally happens. But there aren't many, you tell me, other than Wilder, Joshua, Povetkin....who else do you see Jarrell fighting? It's very hard to make a meaningful fight. The heavyweight division is not that deep."
Miller's last two fights against Mariusz Wach (who he stopped in nine rounds) and most recently Johan Duhuapas (that went the distance) were part of a two-fight deal with HBO.
"HBO has a first-and-last on Jarrell for the third fight and we would love to fight on HBO,"said Cohen."But again, HBO, they're smart guys, (HBO Sports head) Peter (Nelson) is a bright guy, he's going to want to buy a meaningful fight," said Cohen.
