George Groves has told James DeGale he will always have his number. Groves has admitted he thought about retiring from boxing following his third world-title failure last month and is also on the look-out for a new trainer after splitting with Paddy Fitzpatrick. But while he admits IBF super-middleweight world champion DeGale has the "upper hand" in their long-term and local rivalry, the 27-year-old remains convinced he would beat him again.

QUEBEC CITY, Canada -- Popular local favorite and former world champion Lucian Bute (32-2, 25 KOs), of Montreal, will try to recapture his world title belt against 2008 Olympic champion and reigning super middleweight world champion James DeGale (21-1, 14 KOs), of England, in the main event on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING live on SHOWTIME, Saturday, November 28, at the Vidéotron Centre of Quebec City. Carl Froch, the man who devastated Lucian Bute (32-2, 25KOs) in 2012 with a fifth round knockout, says his countryman James DeGale will not have an easy fight in front of him on November 28th in Quebec, Canada. DeGale (21-1, 14KOs), making his first defense of the IBF super middleweight crown that he captured in May with a victory over Andre Dirrell, will be faced with a very rabid army of fans cheering on the challenger.

James DeGale has played down talk of a rematch with George Groves, saying he is only interested in taking on 'elite' fighters. The only blemish on DeGale's record (21-1 KO14) is a defeat at the hands of Groves back in 2011 when his British rival took the domestic and Commonwealth super-middleweight titles at the O2 Arena.

James DeGale will travel to Canada to make the first defence of his IBF world super-middleweight title when he takes on Lucian Bute at the Videotron Center in Quebec on November 28. The 29-year-old claimed the IBF strap back in May, defeating American Andre Dirrell on points to become the first British fighter to add a world professional title to an Olympic gold medal, which he achieved in Beijing in 2008.

James DeGale MBE will defend his IBF World Super Middleweight title against former champion Lucian Bute at the Videotron Center in Quebec on November 28, live on Sky Sports in the UK and on SHOWTIME in the US and Canada. DeGale has spent his career re-writing the boxing record books and now the IBF Super Middleweight champion is determined to become the universally recognised best 168lbs fighter in the world. To do so he must get past the likes of Bute, a task which DeGale admits will be a supreme test in Canada, but one he also relishes.

In a year that marked a golden era for boxing content as well as the highest grossing event in the sport’s history, Showtime is prepared to end its year the same way it began – with a bang. Following the October 3 presentation of Showtime Championship Boxing, the network will come back strong with a stretch of seven shows in a span of eight weeks from late October through mid-December.

Sources close to the situation have advised BoxingScene.com that a tripleheader is being finalized for November 28th at the newly constructed Videotron Center in Quebec City, Quebec. The three fights will be broadcast by Showtime.
