Sanjeev Sahota will return to the ring next month. The 26-year-old Hornchurch super-lightweight will be looking to move into double figures as a pro when he boxes on a BT Sport-aired show. Sahota (9-0, 3 KOs) has been confirmed as an addition to the undercard to Frank Warren’s ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’ card on December 9 at the Copper Box Arena, which will also be screened on BoxNation.

I WAS DELIGHTED to formally present James DeGale and Lee Selby to the media, in London this week with the prestigious pair both topping our fight roster for December 9 at the Copper Box in Stratford. For me, it is simply a continuation of what we are successfully striving to deliver – the best fights and fighters for the boxing public.
James DeGale believes a mouth-watering rematch with long-term rival George Groves is inevitable further down the line. On December 9th, the IBF World Super-Middleweight Champion makes his homecoming at the Copper Box Arena, alongside Lee Selby. Sidelined by injury since the start of this year, DeGale missed out on the current Super-Middleweight tournament that features domestic rivals Groves, Chris Eubank Jr and Callum Smith in the semi-finals.
James DeGale couldn’t participate in the World Boxing Super Series even if he wanted to do that because he had a shoulder injury that required surgery in July. When the WBSS’ super middleweight tournament is over, however, DeGale wants to fight the winner. If that’s the survivor of a semifinal between British champions George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr. or Callum Smith, all the better.
IBF Super middleweight champion James DeGale (23-1-1, 14 KOs) and IBF featherweight counterpart Lee Selby (25-1, 9 early) held a press conference today alongside promoter Frank Warren to confirm and discuss their spots on his December 9 bill, which takes place at London’s Copper Box Arena and will be shown live on both BT Sports and BoxNation.
IBF Super-Middleweight World Champion James DeGale and IBF Featherweight World Champion Lee Selby will defend their belts on a huge night of boxing at London’s Copper Box Arena on Saturday 9th December, live on BT Sport and BoxNation. DeGale, 31, became the first British boxer to win both an Olympic gold medal and a professional World Title when he sensationally beat Andre Dirrell for the Vacant IBF 168 pounds title in the USA in May 2015.
IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale has no issue whatsoever with Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin being scored a draw. Canelo challenged Golovkin for the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight titles last month at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. After twelve entertaining rounds, the scores came down as 118-110 for Canelo, 115-113 for Golovkin an 114-114 for the split draw verdict.
IBF super middleweight champion James DeGale (23-1-1, 14 KOs) is still itching for a rematch with Badou Jack (22-1-2, 13 KOs). The two collided in January, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, in a very anticipated unification. At the time Jack was the WBC champion at 168. Jack went down in the first round, and DeGale went down in the twelfth. The fight closed in a twelve round draw, with two judges scoring the bout even and the third 114-112 for Jack.
