Adonis Stevenson may have more overall fights as a professional but Badou Jack believes he is the more battle tested fighter.

On May 12th Stevenson (29-1) will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against former two division champion Badou Jack (22-1-2) at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

While Stevenson has been criticized for some of his recent opponents, Jack has faced former champions Nathan Cleverly, James DeGale, Lucian Bute, George Groves, and Anthony Dirrell in his previous 5 appearances in the ring.

Jack won four of those five fights, with the DeGale unification ending in a draw - but there were many who felt Jack had done enough to win.

"I have been in the tougher fights, bigger fights. I have fought 5 world champions back-to-back-to-back. This is my sixth one so I think I have the advantage. He hasn't been tested," Jack recently told BoxingScene.com.

Jack believes that his big fight experience could play a key factor against Stevenson who hasn't been very active in recent years.

After fighting 4 times in 2013, Stevenson has fought only 6 times, including only twice since October, 2015. Jack on the other hand has fought 8 times in the same time frame.

"It all come with experience. It might cost him in this fight that he hasn't fought the best. I have fought the best so I know how to handle situations like that," Jack explained.

Stevenson vs. Jack is part of a split-site Showtime Championship Boxing telecast beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT with featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. defending his title against mandatory title challenger Joseph Diaz from the MGM National Harbor in Maryland.
