Former champion Humberto "Zorrita" Soto (60-8-2, 34KOs) returned on Staurday to decision Silverio "Chamaco" Ortiz for the WBC's silver international junior welterweight title. Afterwards, the Mexican fighter sat down with manager Antonio "Cañitas" Lozada and discussed the goal of securing another shot at the title.

"I hope this year will be intense. I opened up 2013 with a win and I think that I'll take another ten round round bout before challenging for another world championship. At the moment, I can't really say if I'll fight for a title at junior welterweight or welterweight, or which sanctioning body - but I know that I'm close to getting another title," Soto said. "I want to win another championship before I retire from boxing.

During the fight, Soto suffered a cut above his right eyebrow from a clash of hads. He will sit down with his doctor to determine how long he needs to stay away from the ring to allow the cut to properly heal.
