Cuban light heavyweight, ranked #4 under the WBC, Humberto Savigne (12-1, 9 KO's), is eager to return against a much tougher opponent after defeated Maxell Taylor by KO in the second round on February 22nd at the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, Philadelphia.

Savigne hopes his team at Iron Mike Productions manages to arrange a fight against the top of his weight class, and he plans to return soon to the gym to start training in order to get in excellent physical condition to face big challenges no later than June of this year.

"We respect all of our opponents, experience is important at this stage and we know it will not be an easy fight against the top contenders. They are all fighters with great power in their hands. However, we are confident in our skills and if we can make that fight - I think boxing fans will be very happy to witness a very tough fight. We believe we can beat the best and we will train with a lot of confidence to get the victory," added Savigne.

Henry Rivalta, Savigne’s adviser, believes there is a strong possibility that a fight against a top ranked opponent can be made.

"Savigne impressively won his last two fights; beat Junior Jackson in 4th rounds by KO and also beat Taylor by KO in the 2nd. I think Savigne is ready for great challenges and his last victory puts him closer to a title fight and that would be great for his career,” said Rivalta.
