Unbeaten super lightweight Maurice Hooker (23-0-3) has been in training camp since January.

When his April 14th fight against Terry Flanagan (33-0) was pushed back to June 9th he didn't take much of a break.

"I took like a week off and then I went back to training. I can't wait to get it over. I am ready to go," Hooker recently told BoxingScene.com from his Colorado Springs training camp where he trained alongside the likes of Terence Crawford and Shakur Stevenson.

In what will amount to a nearly 6-month training camp, Hooker believes he is fully prepared for Flanagan and his awkward style. The soon to be 29-year-old Flanagan likes move around in the ring and doesn't stand and hold his ground often.

That doesn't bother Hooker who believes that he will be able to cut off ring and take Flanagan out of his comfort zone.

"Everybody moves once I punch them. Me and my coach have a plan for it. We are going to hunt him down. We are ready for it. Whatever he want to do we are ready for it," Hooker stated.

The ever confident Hooker believes that Flanagan is still rather untested even though he made 5 defenses of his WBO lightweight title before moving up for this title shot. He thinks that when the going gets tough that Flanagan will freeze up and may actually check out of the fight.

"Me and my coach have a plan and we are going to stick to it. I think he is going to shell up. He's never been punched by a guy like me. He's gonna be shocked and not know what to do. He might quit," said Hooker who believes that this is just start of a long run for him at 140 pounds. "This is just going to make me more hungry to get more titles."

Flanagan-Hooker will serve as the chief supporting bout underneath the Tyson Fury-Sefer Seferi main event that will take place at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, UK.
