Eddie Hearn, promoter for IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua (20-0, 20 KOs), believes his boxer will make his American debut within the next twelve months.

Joshua will first attempt to unify with WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker on March 31, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

Wilder, who last weekend in Brooklyn made a big statement with a knockout of Luis Ortiz, will be ringside in Cardiff as part of the Sky Sports Box Office team.

If there is no fight with Wilder, then Joshua could potential face undefeated contender Jarrell Miller in clash being poised for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Hearn does not see any sport of urgency for Joshua to fight in the United States, but he'd like to see his boxer invade other big boxing markets. Joshua, who last year drew crowd of 90,000 and 78,000 - is regarded as the biggest ticket draw in boxing.

"As a heavyweight world champion and a major star in world boxing, [Joshua] should box over here at some stage," Hearn told Sky Sports.

"There's always been that myth really that in boxing you have to crack America, but I don't see why. Look at what we are doing in the UK, look at the spectacles we are creating, [Joshua] is very happy boxing in the UK.

"I just think it's a natural progression to fight in other countries and he wants to break down boundaries as well and part of that should be boxing in America, Africa, the Middle and Far East, but right now he is very comfortable doing what he's doing. I am not sure if the US is imminent but I would expect him to box in America in the next 12 months."
