Eddie Hearn, promoter for WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, does not expect the same financial success for Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder trilogy fight.

Last month, Fury dropped Wilder twice and eventually stopped him in the seventh round of their rematch to capture the WBC heavyweight title.

The bout was pretty much one-sided, with Fury winning every round and controlling every minute of the fight.

The fight sold between 750,000 and 800,000 pay-per-view units. The promoters needed between 1.1 and 1.2 million buys just to break even.

Most experts do not believe the rematch will have the same financial success as the second fight, and because of that Fury will not secure a tremendous purse for the third meeting.

“Fury-Wilder is still a big fight. Any fight that Wilder is involved in means anything can happen, but it was so one-sided," Hearn told William Hill.

“There are bigger problems in this situation if you’re Fury and you’ve put in the performance of a career and won the WBC heavyweight belt, because you want more money in a rematch. That probably won’t happen because there won’t be as much money generated so he’s not going to be happy.”

Joshua has a fight coming up with mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev, which is scheduled for June 20th at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

After Pulev, the British superstar wants a showdown with the Fury-Wilder winner.

“Anthony had a great year last year in many ways. He fought in Madison Square Garden in New York and then in Saudi Arabia, but now he’s back at Spurs on June 20 in a great stadium. It’s going to be an instant sell-out and great to see him back," Hearn said.

“I’m feeling nervous for him as it’s a big homecoming which comes with pressure. Saudi was low key where he was removed from that pressure and it worked quite well for him. Now people will say ‘let’s see the old AJ and the big knockouts.’ But I think we’ll see a great fight against Pulev.”
