Hampus Henriksson: record, next fight and profile →
Swedish super middleweight Hampus Henriksson (2-0, 1 KO) has teamed up with former Mikkel Kessler coach Jimmy Montoya ahead of his third professional fight on December 9 at the Rosvalla Arena in Nyköping, Sweden.
Sauerland Promotion´s Making History at the Rosvalla Stora Isstadion kicked off with Johanna Rydberg (4-0) outscoring Russian Evgeniya Zablotskaya (8-12) over six two minute rounds. The was a visible size difference with Zablotskaya having most of her fights at light flyweight while Rydberg is a big flyweight (if you get what I mean). Rydberg was too strong and won on scores of 60-54 on all cards.
An opponent has been confirmed for Hampus Henriksson’s professional debut. The 21 year-old from Flyinge will face the undefeated Czech fighter Ondrej Marvan (2-0, 1 KO) in a four round super middleweight contest at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor in Nyköping, Sweden. ‘’Maravan is a tough opponent for my pro debut,’’ said the former amateur star. ‘’But I’m going to win, no doubt about it! I have the better technical skills and strength, and I will use that to my advantage!’’
Swedish amateur star Hampus Henriksson will make his professional debut on September 19 on the undercard of Erik Skoglund’s IBF Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title defence against Oleksandr Cherviak at the Rosvalla Stora Ishallen at the Nyköpings Arenor in Nyköping, Sweden. Inspired to start boxing after watching the ‘Rocky’ movies when he was 12 years old, Henriksson embarked on a successful amateur career, which saw the fighter from Flyinge become a three-time Swedish elite champion, a Nordic Youth Champion and represent the Swedish national team on over forty occasions including at the 2013 World Amateur Championships.
