H2O Sylve will resume his role as a headlining act.
BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the unbeaten prospect is set to face Brazil’s Estivan Falcao in the 2024 premiere of Most Valuable Promotions’ (MVP) Most Valuable Prospect series on DAZN. Their lightweight bout will take place on February 2 from Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Sylve was in the main event for the inaugural edition of the Celsius®-promoted MVProspect series in May at this very location. The 19-year-old openly embraced the opportunity to once again serve in that role.
“Back in May, I headlined MVP's very first Most Valuable Prospects event and it’s been amazing to see the continued growth and talent emerge from this series," Sylve told Boxing Scene in a provided quote. “It’s an honor to come back to Orlando to headline my very own second event and I promise to put on a clinic my fans won’t forget.
“Thank you to MVP, Boxlab, Caribe and DAZN for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing you there.”
The bout is the latest step up in class for Syvle (10-0, 9KOs), whose MVProspects debut saw him go the distance for the lone time of his career. He outpointed late substitute Adam Kipenga over eight rounds that night. He returned to his knockout ways in a fourth-round knockout of veteran trialhorse William Silva on the Jake Paul-Nate Diaz Pay-Per-View undercard on August 5 in Dallas, Texas.
Falcao (13-2, 7KOs) has never been stopped through six years as a pro. The younger brother to 2012 Olympic Silver medalist Esquiva Falcao and fringe contender Yamaguchi Falcao went the distance in his lone two defeats to Nahir Albright and Jeremy Hill. He has since rebounded with two straight wins, both in 2023 and most recently in an eight-round decision win over James Bernadin on August 4 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania,
Sylve-Falcao anchors the second season premiere of Most Valuable Prospects, which will expand to six shows after airing four in its first year. Caribe Royale will continue to serve as the series headquarters.
“Following the incredible ongoing success of our 2023 series, we could not be more excited to renew Most Valuable Prospects for 2024 alongside our dedicated distribution partner DAZN to bring more events and more exhilarating matchups to fans around the world,” MVP co-founders Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul previously said of the renewed deal. “Boxing is going through a transformational period.
“We want to spearhead the change that drives value to fighters first. We look forward to an exceptional 2024 with ten events already in place and an expansion of the MVP roster.”
