American promoters have offered Z “The Dream” Gorres a fight in the Las Vegas in January following his smashing fourth round TKO win over WBO Asia Pacific No. 1 ranked Wisanu Pornobnum last Saturday in Mandaue City.

Well known Cebu promoter Sammy Gello-ani confirmed that Gorres was free to fight in the U.S. prior to his mandatory crack at the  Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation title following a rematch between champion Masayuki Arinaga of Japan and former champion

Waenpetch Chuwatana in December.

Gello-ani said the OPBF title fight would be held either at the Araneta Coliseum or in Cebu City possibly in late February or sometime in March since the protagonists in the December title showdown have been given sixty days within which to give Gorres a

mandatory title shot.

The interest in Gorres stemmed from his one round demolition of highly-touted Fil-Am Glen Donaire last March 19 in Las Vegas and the statements of 2002 “Trainer of the Year” Buddy McGirt who worked with Gorres for three months in Florida. After Gorres beat Donaire McGirt, the former two division world champion predicted Gorres was a future world champion

Gorres demonstrated his skill and punching power in his smashing win over Pornobnum, decking the Thai with a vicious right hook to the body followed by a cracking right uppercut that dropped Pornobnum on his back and then finished him off with a flurry of

punches that ended with a deadly left  straight.
