Sources have advised BoxingScene.com that the teams of unbeaten middleweight prospects Brandon “Flawless” Gonzales and Caleb “Golden” Truax have agreed in principle on a Jan. 20 scrap that will be televised on “ShoBox: The New Generation.”

Gonzales (15-0, 10 KOs), out of Sacramento, Calif., is coming off his ShoBox debut in October, when he narrowly defeated Ossie Duran by split decision in Atlantic City.  His resume includes dominant wins over respected veterans Lester Gonzalez and Darnell Boone.  This bout to open 2012 will mark his second under the Goossen Tutor promotional banner.

Meanwhile, Truax (18-0-1, 10 KOs), from Osseo, Minn., also won by split decision in his last outing against Andy Kolle for the Minnesota 160-pound state title in May.  Truax holds wins over former world title challenger Antwun Echols and Jonathan Reid.  He is promoted by Tony Grygelko.

A venue has yet to be confirmed.
