According to Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, the legal dispute between Golden Boy Promotions and former CEO Richard Schaefer has finally been settled. Schaefer was the man in charge of Golden Boy until leaving the company last June. Golden Boy then reportedly filed a $50 million dollar legal claim against Schaefer and claimed he was still under contract to them until 2018.

The terms of the settlement are unknown, but Iole reports that an army of fighters who are managed/advised by Al Haymon will be leaving Golden Boy - including Danny Garcia and Adrien Broner. Other Haymon-advised fighters, like Leo Santa Cruz, Amir Khan and Lucas Matthysse, will remain with Golden Boy because their company still has them under contract. Many of the Haymon fighters that Golden Boy was using were being promoted by them without actual promotional agreements.

Haymon started a new company called Haymon Boxing in 2014 and went on a signing spree - building his stable up to nearly 150 fighters. Many of them are expected to appear on NBC Sports/NBC as part of Haymon's expected series of shows with the network.

Schaefer is now free to join forces (after a undisclosed period of sitting out per the settlement) with Haymon and Mayweather Promotions as many expected when he initially gave notice to Golden Boy last year.
