Giorgio Visioli: record, next fight and profile →
Britain’s Giorgio Visioli expects to be rewarded for his victory over James Wilkins by imminently challenging for the Southern Area lightweight title, according to his trainer Mark Tibbs.
Tahmir Smalls overcame Puerto Rico’s tall, tricky Jose Roman Vazquez to win a unanimous decision Saturday at Wells Fargo Center in his Philadelphia hometown.
Giorgio Visioli picked up another stoppage in his victory over Kane Baker on the undercard of Dalton Smith vs. Mathieu Germain in Sheffield, England.
Three fights, three highlight-reel knockouts. Where does Giorgio Visioli's ability to end a fight in the blink of an eye come from? The former kickboxer, who says, "I just let it flow," sometimes surprises even himself.
Belfast - Leli Buttigieg got his professional career off to a flying start last month with a first round stoppage but the super welterweight was made to work much harder by Artjom Spatar in the first fight of Matchroom’s show in Belfast tonight.
Lewis Crocker will have to seek redemption in the ring. The locally-based welterweight miserably missed weight ahead of his scheduled ten-round regional title fight versus Mexico’s Jose Felix. Crocker tipped the scales at a beefy 150 pounds, three pounds above the divisional limit. Felix checked in at a fight ready 146.6 pounds for Saturday’s DAZN main event from Ulster Hall in Crocker’s hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Both camps were made aware of Crocker’s struggles. The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) disallowed the 27-year-old prospect to cut down to the welterweight limit after he was far over the tolerable limit during a mandatory fight-week weight check.
Belfast Welterweight Lewis Crocker is looking to make it two big wins in two months when he takes on Mexican danger-man Jose Felix at the Newforge Sports Complex on Saturday January 27, live worldwide on DAZN.
Later on tonight in Dublin, Chantelle Cameron and Katie Taylor will meet in their rematch for the undisputed super lightweight title. Will Cameron repeat the close but clear victory she recorded in May or will lightweight queen, Taylor, add another chapter to her long and storied career by becoming an undisputed champion at two weights.
