WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny "Swift" Garcia (31-0, 18 KOs) made the successful leap to the welterweight ranks, in stopping former two-division world champion Paulie "The Magic Man" Malignaggi (33-7, 7 KOs) in the ninth round at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.  The fight was televised by Premier Boxing Champions on ESPN.

After the fight was over, Garcia was asked about his next opponent and whether or not he would entertain the idea of facing two highly regarded welterweights who happened to be at ringside, WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman and former beltholder Shawn Porter, who on June 20th defeated Adrien Broner.

All three fighters are managed by Al Haymon. If Haymon proposes those fights, then Garcia is ready to face Thurman or Porter.

"Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter are great fighters. They are great champions. I'm a great fighter. I'm in this division and you know All Haymon's the manger and if he wants to make those fights happen, we can make those fights happen," Garcia said.
