WBC/WBA junior welterweight Danny Garcia (29-0, 17KOs) appears to have little to no interest in facing Lucas Matthysse (36-3, 34KOs) in a rematch.

After Matthysse stopped Roberto Ortiz in two rounds, he called for a rematch with Garcia. When they fought last September on the Mayweather-Canelo undercard at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Garcia was viewed as the underdog and scored an eleventh round knockdown before winning a twelve round unanimous decision over Matthysse.

On Saturday night, Matthysse called Garcia "a chicken" and told him "stop running from a rematch."

Garcia responded to Matthysse's challenger on the social networks - "I beat his ass so bad the first time he wanted to retire! He don't care about winning he wants the money. I'll beat his ass again!"
