Frank Warren, the co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, was stunned at the recent claims that were made by Deontay Wilder.

Wilder, after months of silence, generated a mountain of headlines when he took to social media last Saturday night.

In a series of social media messages directed to Fury, it was alleged by Wilder that Fury had loaded the gloves for the February rematch - which saw Wilder get stopped in the seventh round.

Wilder also claimed that his former co-trainer, Mark Breland, had acted as a double-agent and tampered with his water.

Wilder had exercised a contractual clause for an immediate rematch, was postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. There now appears to be a legal issue between both sides, as Wilder claims that his rematch clause is still valid - while Fury and his handlers believe the rematch clause has expired.

Regarding Wilder's recent allegations, Warren believes they are ludicrous.

"Deontay Wilder says his water was tampered with for his fight with Tyson Fury. I think maybe someone has spiked his drink more recently if this is what he now believes. Wilder must be on something after the load of excuses he came up with earlier this week," Warren told The Daily Star.

"Gloves, disloyal trainer and something in his water? If there was something in the water then why didn't it come up in his post-fight anti-doping test? I actually think the American is a nice guy and a really good fighter so it sad to see him come out with all of this. For now, we are moving on with Fury and we are hoping to have his clash with Agit Kabayel signed off soon for December 5.

"It will be fantastic to give the Gypsy King a huge homecoming fight even if it is behind closed doors should we get that fight over the line."
