The grudge match for the unified light heavyweight world championship between Sergey Kovalev and Jean Pascal, a Vidéotron presentation in collaboration with Mise-O-Jeu, will be televised live in the United States on HBO beginning 9:45pm ET/PT.

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach has a new fight in his sights, where two legends of the sport would collide at the tail-end of their storied careers. Roach, who trains former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33KOs), is very interested in having his fighter take on Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs).

Pacquiao was ruled the winner in their rematch in April of 2014.
There won't be a lot of heat for the upcoming pre-fight promotion to the Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley trilogy. The fight is scheduled to take place on April 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is not impressed, at least not yet, with the recent pairing of Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) and Teddy Atlas. Bradley hired Atlas in September after parting ways with career trainer Joel Diaz and hired Atlas.
Earlier this month, BoxingScene.com conducted a video interview with Freddie Roach where the Hall of Fame trainer conceded that Floyd Mayweather Jr. was the best fighter of this generation. He said that because Mayweather retired with his undefeated record intact and beat Roach's star fighter Manny Pacquiao in their long awaiting showdown on May 2nd. Taking those two factors into high consideration, Roach believes Mayweather has to be considered the best of this era.
Trainer Jeff Mayweather, who is also the uncle of retired pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr., says a lot of people are overhyping the accomplishments of Hall of Fame coach Freddie Roach.
According to former undisputed cruiserweight and heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield, former beltholder Wladimir Klitschko could benefit from some additional training help in the corner.
