Frank Warren, co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, indicates that his boxer's next fight is going to surprise a lot of people.

The announcement may come as early as next week.

"They'll be an announcement soon, it will be quite interesting, everybody is going to be quite surprised. It's going to be a game changer," Warren said to The Daily Mail.

Skill Challenge Promotions, a promotional company based in the Middle East, are hoping to stage the undisputed fight between Fury and WBO, IBF, WBA, IBO champion Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

The fight with Usyk was being targeted by Skill Challenge for a date in December, but Warren explains that Fury-Usyk is likely not possible until the early part of 2024.

'I'm not going to get into that all we are focusing on his next fight at the moment and depending on what date we announce it he may not be available," Warren said to Talk Sport.

'There may not be a December anyway because Amer [Abdallah], who is the Skills Challenge Head of Boxing, he said they were looking to put whatever they are looking to put together in the first quarter of 2024 anyway.'

Fury has been away from the ring since a December battering of Derek Chisora in their trilogy fight.

There were serious discussions to make a fight with Usyk for a date in April, but the two sides were unable to agree on the financial terms for the rematch.

Usyk will now make a mandatory defense against WBA 'regular' champion Daniel Dubois on an August date in Poland.

Provided Fury and Usyk win their upcoming fights, an undisputed fight will be the goal for both unbeaten beltholders.
