German heavyweight Agit Kabayel produced a punch perfect performance against Cuba’s Frank Sanchez last night on the undercard of Tyson Fury-Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Sanchez entered the ring with a brace on his right knee and spent most of the fight with his back against the ropes absorbing punches from Kabayel. Sanchez didn’t reach double digits in landed punches in any round while Kabayel averaged 16 punches landed per round. Kabayel landed 51 body punches, the last of which put Sanchez down and out.

His former sparring partner Agit Kabayel believes Tyson Fury has “everything” he needs to triumph on Saturday over Oleksandr Usyk.

The undercard has been announced for the May 18 heavyweight unification clash between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.

BoxingScene.com has learned that the Mexico City-based sanctioning organization has initiated a voluntary negotiating period between representatives for Frank Sanchez and Agit Kabayel. Cuba’s Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) is the WBC’s second-ranked contender for Tyson Fury’s title and Germany’s Kabayel (24-0, 16 KOs) is ranked fourth.

Getting a top name into the ring hasn’t been easy for Frank Sanchez. Actually, it’s been downright impossible. Although it isn’t what he would prefer, Sanchez has taken what he could get. In 2023, the 31-year-old spent his time focusing on activity as opposed to fighting top-tier competition. Against Daniel Martz, Sanchez barely broke a sweat,

Frank Sanchez wants to return to Saudi Arabia as soon as possible to fight “a big name” in the heavyweight division. The 31-year-old Cuban contender stopped New Zealand’s Junior Fa in the seventh round on the Anthony Joshua-Otto Wallin undercard December 23 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Sanchez (24-0, 17 KOs) hopes that impressive victory over Fa (20-3, 11 KOs) moves him into a more meaningful fight on the Joshua-Francis Ngannou undercard March 8 at Kingdom Arena.

Frank Sanchez found a way to speed up the pace in a fight that was stuck in first gear for several rounds. The unbeaten Cuban heavyweight remained perfect after a seventh-round knockout of New Zealand’s Junior Fa. Sanchez
