Frank Sanchez: record, next fight and profile →
Unbeaten heavyweight contender Frank Sanchez expects his gym stablemate, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, to do very well in the cruiserweight division. Canelo, who earlier this month became the undisputed super middleweight champion by knocking out Caleb Plant, is looking to move up to the cruiserweight limit of 200-pounds.
The new year will kick off with a heavyweight bang, as five exciting heavyweight matchups take center stage on a FOX Sports PBC Pay-Per-View on New Year’s Day live from Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Efe Ajagba is not short on confidence in his own ability, never more so than in preparation for the biggest fight of his career to date. The heavy-handed Nigerian prospect believes no stone was left unturned for his upcoming showdown with Frank Sanchez. The battle of unbeaten heavyweights takes place Saturday evening on Pay-Per-View from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the chief support to the trilogy clash between lineal/WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and former WBC titlist Deontay Wilder.
Frank Sanchez is absolutely certain that Efe Ajagba will take a steeper step up in competition than him Saturday night. The Cuban-born Sanchez considers himself by far the best opponent Ajagba will have faced in four years as a pro. Ajagba is 15-0 and has won 12 of his professional fights by knockout, but Sanchez is sure he’ll give Ajagba looks that the huge Nigerian heavyweight hasn’t seen since he made his pro debut in July 2017.
LAS VEGAS, NV - One of the more intriguing bouts on the Tyson Fury-Deontay WIlder III pay-per-view undercard is a battle of heavyweight prospects who are looking to make the move up to contender status.
