British legend and former heavyweight champion Frank Bruno, has advised countryman Anthony Joshua to follow the lead of other heavyweight fighters who were shocked in big upsets.
Back in June, Joshua was dropped four times and stopped in the seventh round by massive underdog Andy Ruiz. The rematch is scheduled to take place on December 7th in Saudi Arabia.
While the first bout was viewed as a mismatch, the rematch is more of an even bout.
Bruno wants Joshua to follow some of the legends like Lennox Lewis, Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali - who all managed to revive their careers and reclaim world titles after suffering shocking upsets.
"Lennox Lewis was a legend, so were Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali, but they're all gone now, this is a new time for these guys to set out their legacy," Bruno told The Mirror.
"Everyone saw Ruiz and thought he looked like a Tellytubby and then had a bet on what round Joshua would knock him out in. But you can't underestimate anyone. He's a seasoned professional, he's sparred in America and been in with good fighters; he's got a lot of experience.
"It won't be an easy fight and I just hope he beats him. Joshua has to be on point when he goes back in with him because I think he underestimated him last time. [To fight in Saudi Arabia is] a huge challenge with the different time schedules. You've got to go here, there and everywhere which messes your training about. But that's the territory that comes with being in a different league."
