The mission remains the same for Franchon Crews-Dezurn.

“F--- that hair. I want the belt,” the former undisputed super middleweight champion said of her upcoming vacant WBC title fight versus unbeaten Shadasia Green. “You can snatch my wig off. I'm still that girl.

Crews-Dezurn and Green will collide on December 15, in the chief support of a DAZN show headlined by Jake Paul versus an opponent to be determined from Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Florida. The two met face-to-face in the ring at that very location this past Friday, preceding Amanda Serrano’s historic shutout win over Danila Ramos over twelve, three-minutes rounds and where the pair of super middleweights stared into each other’s soul.

It was far from over, as they engaged in a heated and unprompted war of words during what was otherwise a post-fight press conference for Serrano and Ramos.

In less than two months, they will get to settle their differences in the ring.

"“If you can’t respect my boxing, you’re going to have to respect my hustle," vowed Crews-Dezurn.

The fight was ordered by the WBC in late September, shortly after it was learned that England’s Savannah Marshall (13-1, 10KOs) was unable to honor her mandatory title defense versus Green. The two-time Olympian became the undisputed champion with a July 1 win over Crews-Dezurn (8-2, 2KOs) but cited an injury in her inability to next face Green (13-0, 11KOs), a murderous punching contender from Paterson, New Jersey.

Crews-Dezurn, the division’s first-ever undisputed champion, fully embraced the challenge as she is eager to reclaim her hardware by any means necessary. The 36-year-old Baltimore native unified all the major titles in a ten-round win over then-unbeaten WBA/IBF titlist Elin Cederroos last April 30 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The ugly side of the sport left her out of the ring for more than a year and without a title defense before she landed a lucrative opportunity versus Marshall. It required a trip to jolly old England, where she came up short in their Sky Sports/ESPN+ main event.

Less than three months later came the call to enter talks versus Green. Barely four weeks later, a deal was finalized for the two to meet by year’s end.

“I’m on a mission to continue to prove why I’m one of the greatest,” vowed Crews-Dezurn. “You don’t have to like my style, but I don’t win by chance. I win because I put in the work. On December 15 I’m going to put in the work, and I’m going to show you why I’m ‘The Heavy Hitting Diva’ – and the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion in history, as well as the first-ever to represent the United States in the Pan American Games as the multi-talented, multi-dimensional renaissance woman that I am."
