Carl Frampton respects Nonito Donaire's punching power, but thinks he can match his Filipino foe in that department.

On April 21st, the two-weight world champion meets four-weight world champion in a mouth-watering match-up in Belfast.

Donaire, 35, has admitted that the bout is make or break for him, and there is plenty at stake. The winner could potentially be in line to face Lee Selby or Josh Warrington in the summer.

"He's still dangerous. He's definitely a big puncher and it's something I need to be cautious about," Frampton admitted to BoxNation.

Nicknamed 'The Filipino Flash', Donaire has racked up 24 stoppages from his 38 victories. He is a former pound-for-pound talent and still carries serious power.

"I always say the last thing to go from a fighter is his punching power. But he's been as low down as super flyweight. I feel I'm the bigger man. I believe he's a puncher but I believe I can punch equally as hard," argued Frampton.

With the likes of Leo Santa Cruz, Abner Mares and Oscar Valdez already having fights scheduled, 'The Jackal' hopes that this bout will be perfect preparation for a dream showdown at Windsor Park.

"I don't think there's a better fight out there in the division. Any other day this would be a world title fight.

"It's a must win for both of us. He's in a similar position to me. The winner of this fight certainly goes on to fight for a world title, no doubt in my mind about it. I want to make sure that's me," he added.
