  • Holm vs. Aldana. Very little press or noise about it

Bookies have this one almost dead even. No respect for Holm whatsoever.

Aldana can only hang her hat on beating Bethe Correia.

Holly Holm became the female Jeff Horn - despite being one of the most decorated female fighters in history.

She should have gone back to boxing after beating Rousey, because her losses after that win did nothing but expose that Rousey was a one-trick hype pony.

Holm would've had to fight prime Braekhus had she gone back to boxing, and ducking Braekhus is the reason she stopped boxing in the first place.

Plus her only losses in MMA are to Nunes, Cyborg, de Randamie, Shevchenko, and Tate. Some of the all-timers.

She has nothing to prove to anyone. 3 division queen in boxing, world champ in UFC, nearly 80 combined pro boxing/MMA/kickboxing fights. Even if she loses her next 5 fights in a row, she's a legend and she's earned that status.

If anything, she should consider Bare Knuckle. She can throw hands with the best of them and right now BKFC is paying big money to fighters like Paige VanZant and Bec Rawlings, neither of whom are anywhere close to Holly's level in any sport.

It's not that she lost. It's HOW she lost. As in, dominant each time.

There's simply no way she should have lost to someone like Miesha Tate fresh off knocking out Ronda Rousey unless Rousey was vastly overrated - because Miesha Tate was B-level at best. And Nunes obliterated Cyborg by doing what Holm does best - punches. So why could Holm not get Cyborg out of there?

Nah. I think she's out of her element in MMA and she just happened to be the perfect bad style for Rousey.

BKFC - she should stay away from that at 39-40 years old. Paige shouldn't do it either, she should have just done the OnlyFans route.

Nunes beat Holm with a head kick after hitting her with plenty of leg kicks. Holly bit on what she thought was another leg kick and got kicked in the head instead. It was more or less even when they were throwing hands. And Nunes has been boxing and doing Karate since she was a kid. She didn't get into Judo and Jiu Jitsu until she was 18-19, so striking has always been her strongsuit.

And Holly got robbed against de Randamie, who landed half a dozen punches after the bell for both rounds 2 and 3 but wasn't deducted a point. And even without the deduction, most media outlets scored that fight for Holm.

Tate won worlds title in both Strikeforce and UFC. No way she's B-level.

Rousey is an incredible grappler. The ineptitude of her striking wasn't widely known until Holm exposed it, but that's because Rousey's intimidation, aggression, and Judo skills kept anybody prior to Holm from even being able to test her stand up skills. Just because Rousey can't punch doesn't mean she wasn't a great fighter. She was great enough at grappling to beat world class opponents without any punching skills.

And Holm has never been a power puncher in any sport. It's no surprise she couldn't knock out Cyborg or Nunes. She has only scored knockouts in about 20% of her combined pro fights, and many of those were on kicks.

And BKFC would be perfect for Holm. She's a precise puncher and most BKFC fighters are older, washed up boxers and MMA fighters anyway. She'd be stepping down in competition from UFC and it would eliminate her biggest weakness, which is ground fighting.

Nah. It was known WELL before that. Remember this?

Dominant performance for Holm tonight. She has won all 8 rounds in her last 2 fights against two opponents ranked in the top 6 of the bantamweight division.

She should get the Germaine rematch next. She got robbed in their first fight, they're ranked #1 and #2, and they both won tonight.
