Why is Fury praised for his drug and alcohol addiction?

If Wilder was on drugs and an alcoholic and had mental problems, he wouldn't be praised like Fury. He would be called a criminal and scumbag. Probably a domestic *********.

Fury, a white dude gets praise heaped on him for being addicted to drugs and alcohol.

I'm tired of these white fighters being praised like their some god for overcoming something and denial being in effect of their shortcomings and faults.

eg: loma getting beaten by salido, to this day we have deniers on this forum

The great white hope is still in effect.

the responses by posters will prove my point in this thread.

You should probably be dealing with your own issues.

He deserves praise for overcoming those battles and not succumbing to them. It gives others who are struggling and battling addiction some hope to overcome their own obstacles.

Fury- Good job mate, you've overcome substance abuse. What an inspiration!

Oscar- STFU coke head! Go get some more white snow up your nose.

Loma loses to Salido- he was young (mid 20's) and still learning idiot!

Canelo loses to Mayweather- What a hypejob! He was a grown ass man at 23 years old!

Exactly my point, I'm not mad at Fury for overcoming those issues, I am mad that fighters that aren't white are given nasty labels while white fighters get the kid gloves.

Oscar is still a cokehead, Fury isn't

Loma had 1 fight in the pro's, Canelo had over 40 fights, had defended his WBC belt about 6 times, beat guys like Trout and was considered no.1 in the division and was in some p4p lists. Very different situations.

Come on, you're not that ******.

I'm not mad that Fury overcame his circumstances. I respect that and the fact that he fought Wilder in a fight of the year!

An excellent fighter and a sensational human being

What I am saying is that, I just notice that fighters that aren't white don't get the same treatment.

Labels are attached to them, while fighters like Fury and Loma, when they mess up, the machine grinds to find excuses
