Why was Tony weeks taking directions from floyd during the fight?

This guy used to be one of the best, but anytime floyd complained, he jumped in stopping the action. Terrible reffing.

Tony Weeks didnt do Floyd any favors in this fight. He let Marcos get away with a good amount of stuff. Thats fine though as it was up to Floyd to handle it if Weeks allowed it. Floyd didnt handle it like he normally does. But if Weeks benefited anyone on Sat it was Marcos.

He didnt warn floyd once, he warned Marcos plenty yet both fighters were equally as dirty. Why was that?

I think Tony did just enough to keep the fight's flow going. Breaking them up when he had to. If he had been less careless and nonchalant, the fight would've escalated to a wrestling match, more dirty tactics, and ultimately an in-ring brawl with both corners and everyone and their mother beating each other up.

That wasn't mixed martial arts you were watching.

They both got away with illegal moves, just Floyd was complaining about it the whole time.

How come the posters who were boycotting this fight keep making threads about what happened during the fight?

He warned floyd once for the elbows, didn't take points away from Marcos for the low blow, the knee. He let them fight and actually wasn't a factor at all.

Yet posters are still complaining simply because floyd won a tough close fight.

He kept the pace of the fight very nice, but yes he was incompetent at times. You need to give fighters harsh warnings instead of wimpy "Don't do that guys" if you've already gone that route a few times

C'mon dude. Both fighters were not equally dirty. Floyd used his elbow to push off at times (sometimes in frustration) but Marcos scored lots of shots to the back of the head (some while Floyd ducked some while he stood straight up in the clinch). Letting the fight go that way gave Marcos a chance so I really didnt mind it but lets not pretend he didnt get away with a lot. Floyd could have got just as dirty back and force Weeks hand. He didnt so thats on him.

Exactly. Uncle Bob is not here to rally the boycotters, so they have to find something else to pick on.
