I go with Froch he has a little over half the fights Joe had and already has an infinitely better list of opposition and quality wins.

          It's close as it stands.

If Froch avenges his loss to Kessler then It will be him.

I thought Froch beat Kessler, fwiw. Showtime were on Kessler's nuts hard and the crowd went crazy everytime he threw anything, even if it he didn't land.

Calzaghe beat the PRIME version of Kessler, and Froch lost to a somewhat faded version.

Calzaghe beat a lot of good fighters: Eubank, Woodhall, Reid, Brewer, Mitchell, Lacy, Bika, Sheika (who was coming off a win over Glen Johnson), 30-0 Veit, still-good Hopkins (who schooled Pavlik after that, let's not forget people were saying Pavlik would KO Calzaghe) and his best win: prime Mikkel Kessler.

Calzaghe had longevity and a consistency we haven't seen from Froch, at least not yet.

Froch is greater because he has fought the better opponents and also has the better wins, add that he is not even done and can still add yet another win over Bute and can beat Kessler by decision if it's in Nottingham; he trumps Calzaghe's resume. If they were to fight like in 2007-2008, i'd favor Calzaghe.

Pascal, Taylor, Bute, Johnson, Abraham, Reid.

Hopkins, Kessler, Bika, Reid, Lacy, Eubank, Jones. Calzaghe didn't really fight any one dangerous worth mentioning.

Froch CONSISTENLY fights top ranked opponents where Calzaghe didn't.

Plus beating Arthur Abraham, Andre Dirrell, Jean Pascal >> beating part-time male escort Robin Reid, Veit, pastprime Eubank etc...
