Does Carl Froch have a better resume than Calzaghe?

    His last 5 opponents:

    Arthur Abraham
    Mikkel Kessler
    Andre Dirrell
    Jermain Taylor
    Jean Pascal

    His next 2 opponents:

    Glen Johnson and Andre Ward

How can anyone NOT support this guy?

He constantly fights the best opponents.

He has a much better resume than Calzaghe IMO, who is rated as the best 168 lber.

Well if Froch looses to Johnson he won't have Ward on his resume but baring any disasters in the next few months he will have:

          Pascal
          Taylor
          Dirrell
          Kessler
          Abraham
          Johnson

Which is quite frankly a ridiculous run of opponents considering the ducking that goes on in boxing now a days. Froch really is a classic old school British throwback.

My favourite fighter by a country mile at the moment.

The comparison to Calzaghe is interesting... Obviously Calzaghe was consistent in fighting B/C-level opposition with some good names in there but in my view Pascal is a beter fighter than Lacy was, Dirrell is also far better than Mitchell or someone like that... Sure, the Kessler that met Calzaghe was on prime rather than just off prime but also you must remember Froch fought that away from home. Calzaghe ducked Johnson three times and has noone quite like Abrham on his resume.

In my view... If Froch can beat Johnson and just get into a fight with Ward he will have surpassed the resume of Calzaghe. Ward is a lot like Hopkins... i.e., right hand headbutt and hard to hit.

              Okay, I'll do it again...

Hopkins>Pascal (and you'll see it in Dec, even if he is 2 years older than he was)
              Kessler>Taylor
              Eubank>Abraham
              Lacy < Dirrell
              Jones>?
              Reid>Reid
              Bika>?
              Woodhall (world champ)>?
              Mitchell (world champ)>?
              Brewer (world champ)>?
Sheika (coming off Glen Johnson win)>?

Froch has some really good wins but the rest of his resume is crap.

JC dominated some decent guys. Whether Froch has beaten better people is up for debate, but he lost to kessler and JC showed how he deals with kessler.
Dirrell was awfully close as well.
